  • Alex

Although 243 and only 212 on the right, Alex made tremendous improvements in body composition and muscle imbalances. Alex is currently prepping for two shows. He has worked with Coach Dan previously and returned to crush two competitions, one in Vegas and one in Hawaii. Alex has been tested many times throughout the prep with extreme amounts of stress, various injuries, and even surgery. Despite all of those obstacles falling within the 6-month timeframe we have been together; Alex has still been successful in adhering to a plan and pushing forward. Can’t wait to see you on that stage…. Let’s GOOO!!

  • Nick

Client Nick has been with Daniel for approximately 1 year. Our first step of our journey together was reaching the first notch in his belt, and we achieved just that!! Throughout the dieting process, Nick learned a lot about his body, specifically, what causes inflammation and bloating. Nick achieved his goal of breaking into the 160's, losing a total of 35 lbs. Nick also maintained a lot of his strength throughout the dieting process. Nick currently invests in real estate, is a father of two, and works a full time job while still working towards his nutrition and fitness goals.

  • Donovan

Client Donovan has been with Daniel for approximately 2 years. In the beginning, Donovan just wanted to lose weight. The goal transitioned to stepping foot on a bodybuilding stage. Donovan has been through more obstacles than you could imagine. Despite the stumbling blocks in front of him, he pushed through and stepped on stage, approximately 60 lbs down from where he started. This would not have been possible without honest feedback and trust in one another. Thank you Donovan... See you next prep!

  • Carl

Client Carl has been with Dan on and off for 2 years. When Carl first signed up, he lost 25 lbs and made weigh for his first powerlifting competition where he killed it. Carl later signed back on for 3 months. We were able to retain strength and muscle while dieting down. Carl did a great job in following the plan, communicating, and working with me so we could implement a feasible lifestyle plan to fit his overnight schedule and substantial amount of personal responsibilities.

  • Jack

Jack worked with Dan for 16 weeks. Despite the various life events ranging from Halloween, Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving, and others, Jack significantly improved his body composition while still incorporating the foods that he enjoys. With proper guidance, Jack dropped over 3 belt notches and maintained his strength in his core lifts (squats/deadlifts). Way to put the work in Jack… Thank you for pushing me back on Leg Days. Till we work again!!

  • Luis

Lu worked with Dan for 16 weeks. Lu lost over 20 lbs while working whacky overnight shifts, working extra hours, and with important life events thrown in the mix. We are able to incorporate his favorite foods like tacos into the plan and adjust for date nights with his lady. The main goal wasn’t necessarily the weight, but to develop a strong mindset that would both keep him in line with his goals and allow him to accept the refeeds/cheats with his friends/family. Great work Lu. We aren’t done yet either! Let’s goooo!

  • Andy

Client Andy has been with Dan for approximately 6 months. Within that time frame, he has dramatically improved his physique and lacking areas. Andy’s goal is to compete, and he is well on his way to crushing the stage. Andy is a marine and has had to follow the plan amidst very tough conditions. He’s proven to himself and to others there’s truly no excuse to reaching your goals. You make do with whatever you have and move forward. Way to crush it Andy… super proud of how far you’ve come. Let’s crush this offseason!

Training

  • Technique

Client Nick and close friend Andres training legs. Learning how to perform movements is crucial to client progress and safety. Rise and Grind Fitness Owner Daniel is pictured here double checking the form of Andres while Nick stands by as a spotter. Nothing beats a hard leg day!

  • Modifications

Client Nick and Client Mel training legs (once again!) There are different types of modifiers that can be done to increase the difficulty of certain movements. Daniel is leading Mel through a lunge with an isolated hold at various points of the lunge, while Nick performs walking lunges. Can you tell that Daniel likes leg day yet?

  • Finding New Limits

Daniel, pictured above, has barely survived a leg day. After a 7 minute long drop set of Dumbbell Leg Curls, with isolation (holds) at the top and 5 second negatives thrown in, he takes a break on the floor. Nothing is more rewarding than complete exhaustion.
